Search for a family house in Ao-Nang Krabi.

It took us about 3 days to find a good place to stay for a month.Finding our Ao-Nang Krabi family vacation house was not a an easy as I thought it will be .Most of the places are designed for couples or backpackers which stay only for short period of time. To finding something that will be good for family with children , you need to get in contact with local people and be lucky.

Prior leaving Bangkok I’ve booked a small hotel for 3 nights, hoping that during that time I’ll be able to locate a house for 1 month rental. The hotel resort was fine generally, but it didn’t meet our needs for longer stay, it didn’t have a kitchen and was very small.
Our criteria’s for a children friendly house were – One bedroom house, kitchenette, air conditioner, hot water and of course an Internet. From Child Safety point of view, the house should have no high stairs without railing and no main road exit, but still in central area. The higher price tag I had in mind was about 20,000THB hoping for less of course.

Before our arrival to Krabi I got in contact with few real estate agencies. Most of them had a negative answer for my demands. Eventually we had in contact with Ms.MIM from http://www.krabivacationrentals.net/ she was very kind and helpful, but the houses she showed us were not fitting under our criteria’s. So still I’d like to thank Ms. MIM and highly recommend her for any real estate business you might have.
I rented a Motor Bike during the first few days. It is a great way to explore the area and search for houses for rent. Although I’ve spend 3 full days driving around the area because of luck of experience or luck, I didn’t find anything in the 3 nights period I allocated for this task.
At the night after Shai went to sleep we discussed with Julia about the situation, and decided to move to some other hotel, that has better facilities for cooking.
I enter the internet and after short search I found Nadivana Serviced Apartments . It looked great on the pictures, but I didn’t want to book for more than  1 night, I was  hoping that the day after I’ll be more lucky and find our dream home for the first month in Thailand.
At the next day after we arrived to the resort I was impressed about the condition of the facilities. The place look clean, has wonderful pool and it was exactly what we needed, for longer stay. I took a look at the resort site for public rates, and approached the owner to see if we can close a deal for monthly rental. The price I got from him was bit higher, than the budget I allocated for accommodation, but in the other hand the price included, electricity, water and very decent internet connectivity. So after running after a house for the last 3 days I could say that that part was behind me.

Now after I’m here for little bit longer, I found many areas with houses for rent .But at the point we were 3 days of searching and nothing appropriate fell in our hands. I’m happy that we closed the deal, eventually the place is great and we are enjoying here. Shai is very happy with the children pool. And we are enjoying the pool bar Smile
