2 Months with child in Thailand
New Year at Ko-Phangan and Child care services.
Each year , about 60,000 guests come to celebrate the upcoming new year in one of the biggest open air parties in Asia.We didn’t want to miss the chance to be a part of this and started to explore our options how to do it with a child. Taking Shai with us was out of the question,to many drunk people around, loud music etc..
Getting to Ko-Phangan from Ko-Phi Phi with child
After our family spend 3 great nights on Phi Phi islands we had to move forward. Our next planned place is Koh-Phangan , we are about to stay here for a month.Getting back to yoga, quiet and relaxation. I must admit we didn’t prepared to this trip, everything was so easy by now and I forgot to check transportation details in depth, we had some brochure that said something about getting from Phi Phi to Koh-Phangan with a ferry, but we didn’t check it in depth.
Thailand with Children-Ko Phi Phi-Maya Bay and Bamboo Island
During our short stay in Phi Phi Island we decided to visit some of the neighbor islands and beaches.
After looking around at local agencies, we decided on 2 tours. Tour to famous Maya Bay and Bamboo Island. Getting an island tour with children is bit complex , so we decided to rent a private boat for half day .
Phi Phi Islands With Children&Phi Phi Don
The way on the ferry, from Ao-Nang to Phi-Phi Don Island took us about 2.5 hours .
I must say that we were very lucky with our hotel location, it was just 100m from the pear . We were so over luggage, I could barely walk those 100m with all our stuff , I didn’t won’t to think about other people caring their luggage to other side of the island. It could be very exhausting, especially with a child.
Thailand with Children–Hong Island
During our stay in Krabi we took the advantage of having a one day tour to Hong Island. We were looking for something that we can go with a child. The tour was from 9:00-16:00 on long tail boat with covered roof, so from sun urn perspective it was safe. The tour cost was 600 THB per person and we didn’t need to pay for Shai. Actually most of Thailand tour agencies don’t charge for children bellow 2 years.
